With every thing that I do for my mom when no one else is there for her, she still doesn’t accept my sexuality. One day she’ll realize that these are my last few months living at home and that she has to accept me for me, not this lie that she tells herself. They gave me a bible as another graduation gift. It’s really nice and has my name on it and everything. It’s a giant hint though; if I live out my sexuality, I’ll go to hell. But the bible actually has given me strength. It’s proving my point. Above all else: love. God is love. If I love a man or woman, God is okay with it as long as it is love. Leviticus is a Jewish holiness code that says homosexuality is an abomination. In the same chapter it says people who masturbate will be stoned. People who stop sex should be stoned. Yet, basically everyone has done these and many ‘worse’ things as perfectly good Christians. It’s in the old testament and really, who goes by everything in that anymore? (spoiler: no one.)
